About Me

I'm a Principal Observability Architect at New Relic, working with end users to drive adoption of best practices in observability and operational readiness across their engineering teams. Although maybe the term Platform Engineering was not so popular back then, this is what I've been doing since 2011, in organisations such as CERN or Skyscanner, ultimately leading the re-architecture of its observability platform with a focus on tool consolidation, adoption of open standards like OpenTelemetry, and building a culture of operational excellence. You may also recognise me from contributions to OpenTelemetry, where I was part of the Governance Committee from 2023 to 2025, and also maintainer of the End-User SIG since 2024. In my free time I tend to start way too many hobbies, but drumming and photography are the ones that consistently keep me going.
